I am a consumer justice trial lawyer. I only represent individuals and families that have been injured, suffered a fatality or been damaged by others. A large part of my pratice involves mass tort product liabilty claims against manufacturers of dangerous drugs or other products. Another substantial area of my law practice includes seeking justice for survivors of sexual abuse, particularly sexual abuse of children. I also represent individuals harmed by environment pollutuion or exposure cases. I do a variety of general negligence cases as well.

I am a rare native Floridian, born in Clearwater and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. I graduated from Osceola High School in Seminole, Florida and attended the University of Florida where I graduated with High Honors receiving both a Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctor. I SUE debt collectors. I represent people in individual and class actions because they received : (1) robo calls from debt collectors, creditors and telemarketers who violate the Telephone Consumer Protection Act ("TCPA"); and (2) debt collectors who violate the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ("FDCPA") when they attempt to collect a consumer debt.

MARA RITCHIE PONCY HATFIELD, who holds dual degrees in environmental law, began consulting with Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley on issues related to environmental and entertainment law in 2006 before becoming an associate with the firm in 2012.
