I consult with noncitizens, their families and counsel to determine the best course of action to avoid the serious consequences a criminal history may have on immigration status. My office can either represent noncitizens directly in immigration court and on appeal, or work with already retained immigration counsel. I also assist criminal counsel to identify safe haven dispositions for those facing criminal charges or seeking post-conviction relief. Lesley V. Herring is a native of Louisiana who moved to Portland, Oregon in 2011.
