I believe that some of my life experiences, both past and present, give me the ability to connect with my clients with genuine empathy and understanding. I have, myself, been involved with the legal system in the area of custody and know first-hand how uncomfortable it can be. To be that counsel, there to explain the legal options, procedures, and timelines while representing my clients’ best interests is what I want to do for my clients.

As a general practice attorney, I assist people and businesses in a host of areas, including personal injury, employment discrimination, criminal defense, divorces, and appeals. I am based in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and accept cases throughout Arkansas and in some parts of Missouri (primarily the greater Kansas City and St. Louis areas). Matthew Benson is a native Razorback who graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and again from the University of Arkansas School of Law for his Juris Doctor. Matthew started his legal career with the United States Department of Justice as a law clerk with the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, then took a position with the Benton County Prosecutor's Office as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney before going into private practice.
