Dewana grew up in Great Falls, South Carolina. She comes from a long line of textile workers and blue collar workers. If you ask anyone who knew her as a child, they will tell you that as far back as they can remember, Dewana wanted to be a lawyer and she worked hard to make that dream come true. Paula Howker Amick attended Erskine College where she received a B.A. in English and graduated summa cum laude in 1989. For her J.D. Degree, She attended University of South Carolina School of Law and graduated in 1992. Since 1996, Paula has practiced primarily in the fields of personal injury and workers’ compensation. She began on the team at George Sink, P.A. Injury Lawyers in 1999 in the Columbia office.

It is my goal to give each case the attention to detail it needs. I will not take on new cases at the expense of existing clients. The reality is there are only so many hours in a week.
