I'm a 1982 graduate of the UCLA School of Law who has been practicing law in Bellevue since that year. My practice emphasizes plaintiff's personal injury and insurance claims, real estate litigation and other civil litigation cases. Before becoming a lawyer, I worked as a copywriter/creative director in advertising and as on-air talent at a commercial radio station. Communication is very important to me, whether with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel or with a judge and jury. Litigation is difficult enough without struggling with your attorney. I try to make the process as easy as possible for my clients.

A Pacific Northwest native, I grew up on Whidbey Island before moving to Seattle to attend the University of Washington. I received my law degree magna cum laude from Vermont Law School and was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 2011. Prior to joining Gillin Law Group, I was of counsel at Genesis Law Firm for three years and an associate at Purcell Legal & Mediation Services for two years. Prior to that, I was an Assistant City Attorney with the Seattle City Attorney’s Office for three years.

I am a native of Olympia, and my family has been in the region for more than 100 years. I received my B.A. in Philosophy before graduating from Lewis and Clark Law School. I have been licensed to practice law since 1996 and have spent my career serving my community. I place an emphasis on attorney-client communication. Mark L. Fowler represents local, national, and international clients in a variety of industries including software, SaaS, real estate development, and real estate sales. On the personal side, I graduated with a degree in geology and worked in a limestone quarry as an on-site geologist for a summer. After that, I moved to Japan where I taught English, wrote English textbooks and helped to manage an English school for 4.5 years.
