He was accepted to the Louisiana Bar in 1995, and began his practice with the firm of McGlinchey Stafford in Louisiana where he worked primarily in litigation. While there, he handled business disputes, civil rights cases, employment cases, insurance matters, and complex construction litigation in the maritime industry. Fred Long graduated cum laude from Gonzaga University in 2014 with bachelor’s degrees in political science and history. He received his juris doctor degree from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2017 and was recognized on the Dean’s List for four of his six semesters. During law school, Fred also worked as a teaching assistant for the College of Law’s legal research and writing courses, clerked for the law firm of Bell, Gould, Linder & Scott P.C., and found time to coach soccer for the Laramie Blizzard.
