Born and raised in Akron, OH, John Watters graduated from the University of Akron in the spring of 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in English, a minor in Pre-Law Philosophy, and a profound desire to help those in need. After taking some time off to enjoy being a new father, John enrolled in the University of Akron School of Law.

While attending law school, John was a member of Akron’s nationally-ranked mock trial program, where he and his team became regional champions in the American Association for Justice Trial Advocacy Competition in 2017.

Jennifer is a managing partner of the firm working in the Business and Estate Planning Department. Prior to joining the firm, Jennifer provided legal services for the Office of the United States Attorney in the Northern District of Ohio. In that capacity, she assisted in the prosecution of federal crimes, including large-scale drug conspiracies, white-collar fraud cases, and crimes against children. Jennifer’s significant contributions in these prosecutions earned her numerous awards and recognition throughout her eleven-year career. Thomas Schaffer comes from a family of eight, and started working at age twelve for his father’s farm and grain elevator. Earlier on, he saw how working families struggle to make ends meet and learned the value of hard work, dedication, and commitment to family.
