After practicing at a specialized Syracuse law firm he joined the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office in Syracuse, New York. There, Shawn honed his trial advocacy skills in the Special Victims Bureau and the Violent Crimes Bureau. Shawn moved back to his childhood home in the Hudson Valley and was an Assistant District Attorney for the County of Ulster. Thereafter, Shawn began practicing criminal defense law.
