I use our knowledge and understanding of the law to help win you the disability benefits you need. I am familiar with the system and with the judges, local doctors and other professionals who help decide whether or not you receive disability benefits. I was born to extreme poverty, raised by a single parent until age 11, in a foster home until 18. I put myself through College, served 3 years in the Kentucky National Guard, 4 years on active duty in the US Army, left the Army to attend law school at the University of Louisville, started my own practice shortly after law school. Meryl is a Maine native and attended Colby College and the University of Maine School of Law. At Maine Law school, Meryl distinguished herself as an appellate advocate, winning the distinction of "Prize Arguer" in her class and the Gignoux Award for Appellate Advocacy. Meryl was a part of two moot court teams that competed on a national level. In her third year, she and her moot court partner finished in the top three of a competition of more than forty. After law school, Meryl worked at a large law firm in Portland defending medical malpractice and personal injury cases....

Taylor Asen is a founding partner of Gideon Asen LLC, a firm that specializes in medical malpractice and catastrophic injury cases in Northern New New England. Taylor is a graduate of Yale Law School.

My legal education was devoted to estate planning and taxation. During law school I received an estate planning certificate of completion upon graduation and I then went on to receive an LL.M (legal master) in taxation. Afterward, I clerked for the US Tax Court in Washington, DC. My private practice has similarly been devoted to trusts and estates law, elder law, taxation, and probate/trust administration. For me, it's a passion and nothing brings me more satisfaction than helping clients develop their estate plans.
