Prior to opening his own firm, Nick worked as an associate at a general practice firm. Before that, he was a law clerk and paralegal for many years working for a variety of firms with different practice areas including, litigation, general business law, real estate, insurance defense, family law, class action mass tort law, and personal injury.

Rick has over twenty years of experience in civil and criminal practice, in both state and federal courts. He appears in throughout Rockland, Westchester, and Orange Counties, as well as in New York City, and in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. He specializes in estate planning, all trusts and estates issues and litigation, civil rights, criminal, and family law cases in trial level courts and on appeal.

As a former police officer and NYS Investigator, I bring a wealth of practical experience in the areas of my practice. I have tremendous legal experience as a trial attorney, having tried numerous civil, family law and criminal cases.

I started out by working as a volunteer attorney with various pro bono programs in New York City, including Access to Justice (handling in-court landlord-tenant and consumer debt cases, and performing consultations in family law) and the Volunteer Foreclosure Project sponsored by the Queens County Bar Association (which focuses on foreclosure settlement conferences). I gained valuable experience from these programs and started handling cases on my own in 2010, starting with landlord-tenant and consumer debt cases.
