We are a boutique law firm that provides legal services solely in the areas of Divorce and Family Law Litigation. We provide Dissolution of Marriage (Divorce) services, Child Support, Child Custody, Paternity, Visitation, Alimony, Prenuptial Agreements, and many others. The firm is located in the Brickell Key neighborhood of Miami, Florida, and provides representation in family law matters throughout the state of Florida.

I graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1978 and have been a member of the District of Columbia Bar since 1979 and of the Florida Bar since 1984. I am a sole practitioner and handle all family and marital matters, including divorce, modification of divorce decrees, child custody, paternity, relative adoptions, and appeals involving family law matters. As a former Navy Judge Advocate General, I am very experienced in military divorces and won a case of first impression before the Florida Supreme Court in regard to military retirement benefits.

Shane M. Farnsworth, Esq., was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998. In 1999 he established the law firm of Shane M. Farnsworth, P.A., with the goal of offering aggressive legal representation to clients with the personal attention of a small firm. Our office works primarily in the areas of personal injury and civil litigation. For more than 19 years we have successfully represented clients throughout Florida in both State and Federal Court.

I have been practicing law since 1980. My main areas of practice today are Family Law and Personal Injury Law.
