I am Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law, by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Together with my two associates, and two assistants, we help clients make plans to ensure that death or disability doesn't cause a legal mess. We also help clients who have experienced a death or incapacitating incident in their family, and we help Executors, Trustees, and Beneficiaries solve problems in the operation of an estate or a trust. We operate in a quiet, drama-free office environment, centrally located in San Antonio.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Joe Lassen served as a police officer with the New York City Police Department and retired as a Lieutenant after 20 years of service. He received his Bachelor of Science in 1993 from the John Jay College in Legal Studies and his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 2002. While in law school, Joe worked for the NYPD’s prosecutor’s office, handling high profile corruption cases. Joe was a first responder on September 11th at the World Trade Center and shares a special affinity for all military branches and first responders.

Born in South Korea, raised in Argentina, I obtained my law degree from Washburn Law School in Topeka, Kansas in 1994. Since then, I have been delivering high quality, competent and personalized legal service to my clients. I am fluent in English, Spanish and Korean. My early days as an attorney was in public service as a staff attorney for legal aid offices and then as an assistant county attorney at prosecutor's offices. Since 2003, I have been in private practice with emphasis in criminal law, family law, probate litigation and estate planning.
