Barrett comes from a family that has long been a part of the East Texas area. Barrett was born and raised in Tyler. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and played catcher for the school’s baseball team. After high school, Barrett attended Texas A&M University where he earned a degree in Sociology as well as a minor in Business. Right after graduating from Texas A&M, Barrett attended South Texas College of Law. A former associate at Thompson Salinas & McDermott, LLP, Aubrey ventured out to establish a private practice in 2017. As a divorced mother and family law attorney, Aubrey understands the unique challenges facing separated/divorced parents and step-parents.

Aubrey lives in Round Rock, Texas and enjoys being a mother, attorney, and blogger. She also serves on the Board of the Williamson County Bar Association, Women's Law Section.

I retired from the Air Force in the grade of colonel after having served 29 1/2 years active duty. I was a three-time commander at the detachment, squadron and group levels. My first passion is caring about and caring for families in the broader community because they are the foundation of our nation. My other passion is to continue what I did while on active duty - caring about and caring for servicemembers, federal civil servants and families -- whether still serving or in retirement -- in honor of their contributions to our nation.
