Mr. Woodward concentrates his practice on defending individuals charged with crimes in state and federal courts. He has represented criminal defendants for 24 years, both privately and as court-appointed counsel. Presently, Mr. Woodward is a panel attorney for the Federal Defender’s office representing federal defendants in such matters as drug crimes, conspiracies, felon-in-possession of a firearm, immigration violations, bank robberies, and other federal charges. John has a B.A. in Spanish and Communications from the University of Louisville and worked as an editor for a decade before returning to school and earning his J.D. from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. He is a member of Kentucky Bar Association and the Kentucky Justice Association.

I was born and raised in Plymouth, IN. I am a graduate from LaVille High School in 2009. Following that, in 2016 I received a B.S. in Business Administration. Then receiving a full tuition scholarship to attend Valparaiso University School of Law. During law school, I had an internship with the LaPorte County Prosecutors Office. I graduated in 2019 with a Juris Doctorate Degree. I am admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana. I have four children with my husband, Adam. As a family we enjoy camping, walking, and family movie nights on the couch.

Before that, he was employed with the Indiana Department of Child Services providing legal services to field staff to help promote compliance with Indiana law and child welfare.
