I chose to become a criminal defense attorney because I didn’t want to continue living in a society where the right to fight for our liberty and promised justice existed for some and not for others.
I grew up witnessing the disparity my entire life.
Since 2008, I have been fighting for the people who need their voices to be heard.

I have been practicing law in San Francisco California and all of the Bay Area counties for over 30 years. My practice consists of various things but primarily the trial practice including Civil, Criminal in all its aspects, and Family law. Over the course of my career, I have had a great deal of experience in each of these areas and others. I have never lost my enthusiasm nor my interest in the protection of my clients.

As a former police officer & detective as well as through my work with the Sacramento and Colusa County District Attorney’s Offices and The City of Sacramento’s Civil Service Board, I know how the other side works. It often IS the difference between conviction and dismissal.

I became a defense attorney because I saw the bias of the justice system firsthand—improper arrests, unfair treatments, and violation of rights. Now I fight for my clients to ensure that they receive a fair outcome and a second chance.
