After working for several Long Island law firms practicing in the areas of bankruptcy, loan modifications, estates, civil litigation and family law, John P. Brooke, Esq. opened his own law office. The Brooke Law Firm serves is a full service law practice dedicated to helping Long Islander's in all the legal challenges that life throws at them. John P. Brooke, Esq. also interned for Senior Federal Judge Leonard Wexler while in law school. John is also currently a Special Assistant Prosecutor for the Village of Ocean Beach on Fire Island.

Richard graduated from American University in Washington, D.C., with a major in finance and accounting in 1987. He waited three years before entering the Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1993. He worked briefly as a clerk in the United States Attorney's Office in Las Vegas and then he joined his father Melvyn Jacoby's firm in 1994. Richard is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the National Consumer Bankruptcy Association.

Max Smelyansky, who grew up in Bethlehem, graduated from Manhattan College earning a Bachelor of Science with a major in economics. He then graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law, in Maryland. After graduating from law school, Max Smelyansky developed his law practice in Albany, specializing in Traffic Defense Law, Personal Injury Law, Landlord / Tenant Law, Family Law and Estate Planning Law.

Michael is a board certified commercial and consumer bankruptcy specialist (American Bankruptcy Board of Certification). He is admitted to the New York State Bar, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
