Q. i have a freind who is charged with attempting to disarm a police officer, what is the potential outcome of that charge
A: It would depend on the circumstances but there are a myriad of charges that can come from the described activity. A person could be charged with Resisting Arrest, Recklessly Endangering another Person, Obstruction of Justice, Disorderly Conduct, Aggravated Assault, etc.
Q. I did 5 to 10 years ,now my 10 years is up soon ,I also got 10 years probation how can I avoid this I was 17 years old
A: One option that you may have is to petition the court where you were sentenced to terminate your probation early. You should contact an experienced criminal defense attorney in the county which the offense occurred to determine the likelihood that a petition would be granted.
Q. If robbery was committed how many years would they get or how to knock down the charge possibly?
A: Many factors would be in play to determine what the potential sentence would be for Robbery. Among them would be the defendant's prior record, county the crime occurred in, the particular judge hearing the case, as well as the particular circumstances of the robbery itself, i.e (was a weapon used, etc.). I would recommend that you contact an experienced criminal defense attorney who practices in the county where the offense occurred to best determine what the potential penalty would be.
