Stephen Brandli
We focus on ethics, legal knowledge, persuasion, and our client's objectives.
Steve is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Law, where he received High Honors, graduating in the top 5% of his class.
Some history: Steve served two years for the San Juan County Prosecuting Attorney as a criminal Deputy Prosecutor. Prior to that, Steve helped provide public defense for The Tulalip Tribes. In an externship, Steve has served as a law clerk for the State of Washington Court of Appeals in Tacoma and for the honorable Judge James K. Singleton of the Federal District Court of Alaska. He also worked for a summer at Holland & Knight, a large legal firm that at the time had an office in Seattle.
Steve currently practices family law exclusively in the San Juan Islands, Washington.
Steve and his wife, Bobbie Jo have raised four children and fostered several children over their years together. He is now enjoying spending time with his adult children and two toddler grandchildren.
Steve has always enjoyed volunteering his time, donating well over 50 hours of pro bono work each year, as well as serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) where he represented children in dependency court proceedings, and as a volunteer income tax preparer for the VITA program of the IRS. Steve also joined his wife to head the Washington State “wing” of Angel Flight West, a group of pilots that provides free non-emergency air transportation for medical patients. Steve has been involved in the San Juan Lions Club for many years and continues to serve as a Lion.
Steve enjoys tinkering with electronics and computer programming. He loves to explore new locations and learn about cultural diversity.
