Attorney Samantha Knapp earned a Juris Doctor from The University of Toledo College of Law. While maintaining a commendable GPA OF 3.5, she demonstrated exceptional legal acumen by earning a place in the prestigious Order of Barristers. The pursuit of excellence continued as she actively participated in the Irving R. Kaufman Memorial Securities Law Moot Court Competition, showcasing her prowess as a talented lawyer and forceful court advocate.
Dedicated to public service, Attorney Knapp volunteered at the Toledo Divorce Clinic, providing valuable assistance to those in need. This commitment to community service was underscored by her certifications as a Certified Mediator at The Ohio Supreme Court and National Council for Behavioral Health.
As a Certified Mediator with Southeastern Dispute Resolution Services (SDRS) in Jackson, MI, Attorney Knapp initiated nearly 200 hours of mediation. She demonstrated her commitment to the community by mediating with students facing truancy at Rogers High School in Toledo, OH. Samantha also observed and debriefed advanced mediations involving domestic relations and probate matters.
In her journey toward legal excellence, Samantha played a vital role in ensuring indigent defendants were informed of their legal rights. She exhibited keen empathy and understanding, mainly when dealing with juveniles and arguably incompetent individuals.
Further expanding her legal horizons, Samantha participated in a Public Service Externship at The Sixth District Court of Appeals in Toledo. Here, she drafted and edited various appellate opinions, showcasing her exceptional abilities in handling complex legal matters such as jurisdictional issues, statutory interpretation, criminal appeals, and family law.
