Q. My fiance has been charged with a domestic violence felony 3 against me and also a probabtion violation. How can i help
A: Once you ring the bell it cannot be unrung, so whatever you told law enforcement cannot be taken back. If you recant you are opening yourself up to potential perjury / falsification charges. You need to hire a lawyer to represent you. He or she will be able to speak with the prosecutor on your behalf, help you prep for trial, explain what each side needs to prove at trial, etc.
Q. I was pulled over and license had been suspended and found. Drug instruments in vehicle which was not mine...
A: In order to understand your case as best as possible, you need to hire a lawyer. An experienced criminal defense attorney will make sure you are properly defended against all charges. You may have a potential suppression issue in your case--i.e. the officer needs a lawful reason to search your vehicle to find the drug instruments. You may qualify for a public defender (depends on your income), but deciding between a public defender or private counsel is a matter of personal preference.
Q. Can the alleged victim drop a protection order in place for domestic violence
A: Yes. See attached article for a better understanding of protection orders in Ohio...
