Robert Schlacks
In 2022, Bob Schlacks joined Conybeare injury and Accident Lawyers. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in economics, graduating cum laude from Eastern Illinois University, with a minor in pre-law studies. Initially planning to pursue economics, Bob changed course after joining his undergraduate mock trial team. The challenge of interpreting the law, applying it to real-world cases, and presenting arguments in a courtroom setting captivated him and ultimately shaped his career path. He later obtained his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago (now the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law).
Following law school, Bob dedicated himself to guiding individuals through the intricate legal processes that arise after suffering injuries due to someone else’s actions. He represented clients involved in automobile collisions, dog bites, and premises liability matters. Collaborating closely with healthcare providers, insurers, and other professionals, he worked to resolve claims and, when necessary, proceeded to trial. In one notable case, he secured a jury verdict for a bicyclist who was hit by a car turning right on a red light—achieving a verdict that more than doubled the final settlement offer.
