Rob Fowler
Experienced Environmental and Natural Resource Attorney Ready to Fight For You.
I am Rob Fowler, an attorney with extensive experience in environmental and natural resource law, administrative law, land development law, and mining law. Currently, I lead the Environmental Team at Adams and Reese.
Throughout my career, I have represented a diverse group of clients, including developers, industrial clients, electric utilities, property owners, and mining interests, including the limestone, sand & gravel, coal, gold, and graphite arenas. I have also worked with manufacturing and industrial clients, electric utilities, banks, land developers, and others in all facets of environmental and natural resources and law. My experience extends to defending clients against environmental enforcement actions initiated by local, state, and federal regulatory agencies and citizens at all levels of federal and state courts, as well as in front of administrative boards. Additionally, I have significant experience in land use, zoning, and annexation matters.
I adopt a holistic approach when serving my clients, understanding that environmental issues often encompass more than just environmental concerns. It is crucial for me to also consider how economic, governmental, social, and public relations factors can influence any project or legal issue. I hold a real estate license in Alabama and am currently training as a mediator through the Alabama Center for Dispute Resolution, which adds to my diverse experience and value to clients.
Although I am based in the law firm’s Birmingham office, my team and I counsel and represent clients across the firm’s entire footprint. Before my tenure at Adams and Reese, I was a Partner in a large regional law firm and served as an Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Environmental Compliance for a conglomerate of approximately 75 affiliate companies in the mining, agricultural, and hospitality industries.
