- Q. My boyfriend was arrested yesterday for violating his probation with positive drug test for weed. His PO said she
- A: Any violation of probation can result in the court sentencing him to jail for the time that he has remaining on his probation. The probation officer can also ask the court or recommend to the court that he gets a pass and can continue on probation. Whatever decision made is up to his probation officer and the Judge that originally sentenced him. You should seek the assistance of an attorney for the best possible outcome.
- Q. Is there a way to punish a police officer that had me arrested although he knew I could prove I was innocent?
- A: If a police officer has enough probable cause to get a warrant signed by a Judge then he can move forward. It is not up to the police officer to determine guilt or innocence. That part is up to the Prosecutor and the court. Take it from a former police officer, in this instance, you have no recourse because he was doing his job.
- Q. Can i be charged with drug charges if traces of dope was found on a dollar bill in my purse? When we just came from shop
- A: If the police believe they have enough probable cause to arrest you for drugs then they can do so. Not sure what you mean by we just came from shop.
