Leland Hulbert
Highly Experienced Criminal & Family Law Attorney. 100+ Google Reviews 5.0/5.0
I have enjoyed the privilege of being a Legal Expert offering Legal Analysis for local news media on high profile cases. I have earned that reputation through many years of legal experience and opportunities as a lawyer in Kentucky. My Criminal Law and Family Law clients know I am a trusted advocate and a powerful voice on their case, and my reviews on Google and other websites show their appreciation for my hard work and the positive results.
As the former head of the Violent Crimes Unit for the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney, I know what the other side is planning on your case. I use my 20 years of experience in the Court System and the relationships I have made with current Judges and help my clients get the best possible outcome on their Criminal Law or Family Law cases.
Many attorneys will advertise they have "experience" or have catchy slogans but I have as much relevant current courtroom experience on both sides of the table as any defense attorney in the area. With my representation you deal directly with me and not with an associate or paralegal.
Please see my 5.0 rating based on over 100 reviews on Google and my perfect ratings on Avvo, Justia and Thumbtack based on my reviews from clients and colleagues.

- Q. If I do not have any prior criminal convictions? Do you mean in general or felonies
- A: I don’t understand your question. If you’re asking about self-defense, that is one issue if you’re asking about prior record, that is another issue. A prior criminal record can mean any prior misdemeanor of felony convictions.
- Q. If I have a misdemeanor warrant in Hamilton County TN will I be arrested in Jefferson County KY for it?
- A: If you have an active warrant and you’re pulled over, you would be detained in Kentucky, and then Tennessee would be notified and they would have to decide if they want to come pick you up and bring you back to Tennessee. The process could take 30 days. My advice is to hire a lawyer in Tennessee and try to get the warrant taken care of.
