Joshua attended Avila University where he studied Criminology, while also being a member of the baseball team. He then transferred to the University of Arkansas and earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Sociology, making the Dean’s List each year. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law. While in law school, he was the Marketing and External Relations Executive in the Graduate Student Congress, the Public Relations Executive in the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity; the Secretary of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and the Resident Scholar of Sigma Phi Epsilon.
Prior to joining Stange Law Firm in Lee’s Summit, Joshua worked for firms in both Arkansas and Missouri. In Arkansas, he clerked for two private firms and worked as a Rule XV Student-Attorney in the Civil Litigation and Advocacy Clinic while in law school. Joshua assisted attorneys in preparation and drafting of pleadings for their cases and conducted legal research throughout his legal clerkships. Joshua also externed for the Honorable Judge Beaumont in the Washington County Court House Drug, Alcohol, and Domestic Division. While externing for Judge Beaumont, he researched case law and statutes relating to domestic relations proceedings including divorces, visitation rights, and alimony disputes. In Missouri, he worked for a local Kansas City firm defending clients in insurance defense matters, product liability actions, and asbestos and toxic tort claims arising from environmental and occupational exposures. His responsibilities also included motion preparation and cross-examination strategy in commercial litigation.
