Jimmy Cha
Law Office of Jimmy Cha, A Criminal Defense Firm
My practice is limited to Criminal Defense and DUI's. My criminal law background, and experience in the field provides me with a unique point of view of the criminal system that allows me to more appropriately advocate on behalf of my clients. I truly believe that good people often times make bad choices and/or decisions in life, and that everyone is entitled to good representation.
EXCLUSIVE PRACTICE - My practice is limited to Criminal Defense, and DUI's exclusively. I graduated law school with a certificate in criminal law studies. A certificated allotted to only a few students who go above and beyond their normal curriculum in the field of criminal law. While at UCLA and law school, I worked as an intern for a local criminal defense firm. While in law school, I externed in the Orange County Public Defender's Office and Juvenile Defender's Office. Upon graduation of law school, I opened up my own criminal defense practice to defend those who have been accused of committing a crime. This is all I have ever done, and all I ever will do in the field of law, as it is has been my life long goal and passion to help other people.
CUSTOMER SERVICE - I treat clients the way I would want my mother to be treated if she was facing legal problems - with honestly, kindness, and respect. I don't scare clients into retaining me. I am honest and straight forward about a case, even when it is something the client does not want to hear. I answer all my calls personally because the last thing you want to do is call your attorney and get a secretary who has no idea who you are or the posture of your case. If I do not pick up your call, leave a message. I will call you back asap.
FREE CONSULTATIONS - I will personally speak to you over the phone, and try to answer any questions that you may have. An informed client is the best client.

- Q. Can a passenger be charged with contraband found during an inventory search in California?
- A: The short answer "yes". With that being said, there's a lot of factors that go into defending a case like this. You may want to contact a local attorney to determine whether your boyfriend has any viable defenses against these charges.
- Q. I need to obtain an arrest record that happened on September 18, 2008.
- A: Here is the link to where you can obtain the information you are requesting.

- Q. Ok i was dropped from a 3 month DUI program ...
- A: Unfortunately, the DMV requires you to enroll and complete a 3 months DUI program (AB541) in order to get your license back. You can request from the court that they let you re-enroll into the program so you don't have to start all over but if 10 years has passed, I'm affraid they might not let you do so.
