Jeffery P. Rankel
Jeffery P. Rankel is an associate at McOmber McOmber & Luber, P.C. and practices out of the firm’s Red Bank, New Jersey office. Mr. Rankel’s primary areas of practice are civil litigation and employment law, including but not limited to matters involving discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, and whistleblower claims.
Before joining McOmber McOmber & Luber, P.C., Mr. Rankel served as an Assistant Trial Court at the Rhode Island Public Defender’s Office, where he researched legal issues and drafted legal memoranda on issues arising in indigent clients’ cases, which honed his legal research and writing skills. While there, Mr. Rankel developed a passion for zealous advocacy and civil rights.
Mr. Rankel’s interest in employment law piqued after taking a course in employment discrimination in law school. From there, Mr. Rankel served as a law clerk at McOmber McOmber & Luber, P.C.’s Red Bank office. While he was a law clerk, Mr. Rankel gained invaluable insight into employment litigation and developed a passion for litigation.
Mr. Rankel graduated from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2021. At Roger Williams University School of Law, Mr. Rankel graduated cum laude and served as a member of the Editorial Staff for the Roger Williams University Law Review. Mr. Rankel was admitted to practice law in New Jersey in 2021.
