Biography

I am a trial attorney in Cleveland, Ohio.

I primarily focus on real estate litigation and business litigation.

I have experience with contract dispute resolution for companies large and small, and I have represented both landlords and tenants in housing matters. I have litigated cases at the trial court and appellate court levels on the State of Ohio, as well as both the Northern and Southern District Courts of Ohio and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. I have successfully moved to deny certiori before the Supreme Court of Ohio. I am focused on dispute resolution and resolving client matters as quickly as possible in a cost-effective and time-saving manner, whether that be via settlement or through the court system. I have published articles on Florida's stand your ground laws and their national effect, and the adoptive business records exception to hearsay and its use in Ohio courts. I was also named a Rising Star by Ohio's Super Lawyers for the past five years.

24 Questions Answered
Q. Will a ticket show up in a court date that doesn’t have a verdict yet?
A: You should speak with an attorney to represent you as both of these tickets likely carry at least two points. An attorney may be able to knock down the moving violations. Are both tickets issued by the same municipality? I'd assume not, but it would be worth knowing. As to your question, open tickets can be found when searching you as there is a public record. Since there is no disposition, the record search will not say the outcome.
Q. My father in law is threatening to sue my husband and I.
A: There are many potential issues here. The co-signer is responsible in the event that the signer cannot pay. It sounds like there is no contract between the signer and co-signer in the event that the signer defaults. You should talk to an attorney about whether or not your husband can be sued for unjust enrichment.
Q. Can I sue vroom, an online car dealership for fraud?
A: You should speak with an attorney about this. There could be a bait-and-switch issue in your situation. The question is, what would you like to get from the dealer?
