Hunter G. Cavell
Zealous Advocacy When It Counts
I am a trial attorney in Cleveland, Ohio.
I primarily focus on business litigation and plaintiff's personal injury
I have experience with contract dispute resolution for companies large and small, and I have represented both landlords and tenants in housing matters. I have litigated cases at the trial court and appellate court levels on the State of Ohio, as well as both the Northern and Southern District Courts of Ohio and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. I have successfully moved to deny certiori before the Supreme Court of Ohio. I am focused on dispute resolution and resolving client matters as quickly as possible in a cost-effective and time-saving manner, whether that be via settlement or through the court system. I have published articles on Florida's stand your ground laws and their national effect, and the adoptive business records exception to hearsay and its use in Ohio courts. I was also named a Rising Star by Ohio's Super Lawyers for the past three years.

- Q. If five family members own a house and five acres, and four members want to sell, can it still be sold?
- A: Yes. Since more than one owner wants to sell, there will be a judicial partition action to force the fifth to sell or buy out the other four. You should contact an attorney to see how to go about this.
- Q. I bought a puppy from a breeder and it came with a health guarantee as long as taken to very within 72 hours.
- A: It will depend on what the contract says. You should hire an attorney to review the contract and advise you of your rights. Good luck!
- Q. I got a speeding ticket of 17mph over in Ohio, the ticket says the court date is “to be set”. I haven’t received a notic
- A: Given the issues with USPS, I would call the Municipal Court Clerk to see if any date has been set.
