
H. James White
H. James “Jamie” White is the founding attorney of White Law PLLC, a respected Michigan law firm known for handling complex personal injury, mass tort, and class-action litigation. With over 20 years of legal experience, Mr. White is recognized for his fierce advocacy, legal insight, and dedication to achieving justice for clients who have suffered serious harm due to negligence or misconduct.
Mr. White earned his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law in 2000 and has been licensed in Michigan since 2001. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, as well as the United States Supreme Court. His early career included service with the State of Michigan and the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office, giving him a strong foundation in litigation and public service.
At the helm of White Law PLLC, Mr. White leads a team of attorneys focused on high-stakes cases involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, institutional negligence, and large-scale litigation. The firm has recovered more than $1.4 billion in verdicts and settlements, earning a reputation for results and compassionate representation.
Notably, Mr. White represented more than 160 survivors in the landmark litigation against Michigan State University and USA Gymnastics involving Dr. Larry Nassar. He also played a leading role in the Flint Water Crisis lawsuits and secured a $1 million settlement for a client injured by a Lansing police officer, successfully challenging governmental immunity.
A Super Lawyers honoree from 2019 to 2024, Mr. White’s practice also includes criminal defense and complex civil litigation. Outside the office, he’s a devoted father of four, youth sports coach, marathon runner, and avid golfer.
