Biography

Derrick Hensley is a Child Welfare, Family, and Immigration lawyer who manages a small law firm in Hillsborough, North Carolina. Derrick founded his own firm in order to ensure he could take cases that make a real difference for his clients, and to ensure that his practice always observed the highest principles of the legal profession. Derrick also has substantial experience in seeking Special Immigrant Juvenile Status for abused, neglected, and abandoned immigrant youth.

Derrick is a Child Welfare Law Specialist, certified by the National Association of Counsel for Children (NACC), as well as an NC State Bar Board-Certified Family Law Specialist. Derrick is admitted to practice in the State Courts of North Carolina, in the three Federal Districts in North Carolina, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the D.C. District Court and Circuit Court, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
