Biography

I am an attorney specializing in the representation of employees and employers in labor disputes, including wage, overtime and tip litigation. My clients include workers asserting claims against businesses for unpaid overtime and tips, as well as restaurateurs, business owners, and other employers in need of defense from litigation alleging labor and employment violations. I also represent businesses in unemployment insurance proceedings, and OATH hearings and tribunals. My areas of expertise include negligence and insurance litigation. I represent individuals and businesses in property damage and personal injury matters. I provide coverage opinions and represent insurers in coverage litigation involving many different types of insurance, including bodily injury, property damage, disability, construction, lead paint, automobile, first-party property and personal injury. I defend insurance companies from direct claims by both insured and injured parties.

Q. What do I need to support a claim of racial discrimination?
A: You need show some evidence that their decision was at least in part caused by a discriminatory motive. The evidence can be almost anything that suggests racial bias. For example, if the only difference between you and the other employers is your race (and not a difference in performance, skill, attitude, etc.) your termination may raise such a suspicion.
Q. Hello- I am looking for an employment lawyer that is pay if we win to discuss my case. If there is anyone in NY?
A: Yes, there are many lawyers who accept cases on a contingency fee basis.
Q. I would like an Esq. to let me know if my case has merit.
A: Either you are an independent contractor or an employee - you can't be both at the same time. And whether you are one or the other depends on the details of your job, not what you and/or your boss decides you are. You should give me a call to discuss this. If you are actually an employee, you are probably owed a lot more money. My number is 516.304.5357.
