Austin Bodnar

I am Austin Bodnar, Esq., a proud native of South Florida and the managing partner at Bader Bodnar Law, a distinguished personal injury firm that has been serving the community for over 35 years. I was honored to be named on the Best Lawyers in America’s 2024 “Ones to Watch” list. My drive stems from personal experiences and a deep commitment to honor the legacy of my late father-in-law. At the helm of the firm, I focus on delivering strong results and upholding our long-standing tradition of excellence in client advocacy.

Before my current role, I spent six years as a senior associate in the litigation department at Greenberg Traurig, one of the largest law firms globally. During my tenure there, I managed a diverse array of cases, including commercial disputes, employment issues, personal injury, and wrongful death claims. I also defended clients in significant cases involving the U.S. Department of Justice, often traveling to Washington, D.C., for legal proceedings, which honed my litigation skills further.

My legal journey began with a clerkship for Judge Melanie May, the former Chief Judge of Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal. This role provided me with invaluable insights into the appellate process and enhanced my understanding of judicial reasoning.

I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Central Florida, earning recognition on both the President’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List. I then attended St. Thomas University School of Law, where I graduated summa cum laude, ranking 5th in my class. During law school, I was the Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review, received eight CALI Book Awards, won the university’s first “Best Brief” title in a national competition, and held leadership positions in the Federal Bar Association. My legal scholarship includes a published article in the St. Thomas Law Review, demonstrating my thorough understanding of complex legal issues.
