She was in private solo practice focusing on family law, Social Security Disability/SSI, and immigration law in 2007-2011. She worked for Legal Aid of West Virginia previously from 2002 to 2006. She served as an adjunct instructor and supervising attorney for the West Virginia University College of Law Immigration Clinic in Spring 2008.
