I'm a 1982 graduate of the UCLA School of Law who has been practicing law in Bellevue since that year. My practice emphasizes plaintiff's personal injury and insurance claims, real estate litigation and other civil litigation cases. Before becoming a lawyer, I worked as a copywriter/creative director in advertising and as on-air talent at a commercial radio station. Communication is very important to me, whether with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel or with a judge and jury. Litigation is difficult enough without struggling with your attorney. I try to make the process as easy as possible for my clients.

I began working in family law during my time in law school and have been practicing in this area ever since. I am deeply passionate about advocating for and representing LGBTQ+ individuals and families, particularly transgender clients. My commitment to the LGBTQ+ community began in high school, and during law school, I had the opportunity to represent queer and transgender clients as a legal intern. I firmly believe that everyone deserves to work with an attorney who understands their experiences and approaches their situation with empathy and understanding. In 1991, Attorney Susan Alexander earned her Juris Doctor Law Degree, with cum laude honors, from Gonzaga University School of Law. She has been licensed to practice law in Washington State since 1991. Attorney Alexander began her law career as a clerk with the United States Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Washington. She later served as a Judicial Law Clerk in the Nevada Supreme Court, and as a King County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney.
