James Ziter began his career in 1995 under the Senior Practice Rules as a Deputy District Attorney in Lancaster County, Nebraska. In 1996 Mr. Ziter founded ZITER | LAW, which is a multi-disciplinary law firm located in Salt Lake City, licensed and serving clients in Utah and Nevada.

I'm a graduate of the University of La Verne College of Law in Ontario, CA. I practice law in Salt Lake City, Utah with a focus on immigration law. I speak English and Spanish.

I've been a criminal defense lawyer for 21 years. I represent clients accused of sex offenses, violent crimes, financial crimes, DUI and drug offenses. Over the course of my career I have tried over 60 cases to jury verdict. I pride myself in communicating with my clients and keeping them informed about the status of their case.

I work mainly in the area of chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcies. I have been practicing in bankruptcy for over 41 years and have handled thousands of cases.
