Mr. Gilbert assists families in both the employment law and in special education law. He believes a wrongful termination affects an entire family. Additionally, Mr. Gilbert has long been active in upholding the rights of schoolchildren with disabilities—those who have individual education plans (IEPs) or 504 plans.

I am an experienced criminal defense attorney. I have tried twenty-five criminal jury trials involving controlled substances, drugs, murder, rape, robbery, DUI, and assault. I specialize in the criminal, circuit, and general sessions courts of Franklin (Williamson County) and Columbia / Mt. Pleasant (Maury County) Tennessee.

I am a 25-year military veteran with a comprehensive background in criminal prosecution, defense, and judicial roles. My proficiency extends to handling wills, trusts, estate planning, and decedent affairs. Additionally, I am a published author and have extensive experience teaching law at an ABA-accredited institution.

I hail from Clarksville, Tennessee, where I have been practicing law for eighteen years. I am a second-generation attorney, continuing the legacy of legal practice in my family. I am married and have been for sixteen years, and together we have three children. In my practice, I focus on family law, handling cases that range from child custody and support to divorce, orders of protection, and domestic violence. I am fortunate to work alongside two wonderful assistants who have been with me for fifteen years, supporting our clients through their legal challenges.
