I was born and raised in Indiana but have called San Diego home since moving here to attend law school. Prior to attending law school, I served eight years in the military as an active duty member of the U.S. Coast Guard. I graduated with high honors from Davenport University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. I gained a passion for family law while working at a veteran’s legal assistance clinic during law school. I graduated from Law School in 1974 and was admitted to practice before the California Supreme Court and the Federal District Court the same year. In 1980 I was admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. I have handled hundreds of Workers Compensation cases and Social Security Disability cases. At present I am limiting my practice to Social Security Disability appeals.

I also have 7 cats, six are Siamese-Balinese type and one old tiger striped I rescued. I moved to this area in 1999 from the Bay Area where i grew up.
