I graduated Cum Laude from Washburn Law School in 2003. During law school, I participated in Law Journal, Moot Court, and Law Clinic. I set for and passed the Kansas bar in the summer of 2003 and then I took and passed the Missouri bar in 2004. Directly after law school, I had the honor of working directly with the late Judge Elliott of the Kansas Court of Appeals as a research attorney. I then worked briefly with a local attorney in Lawrence, prior to starting my own practice in November of 2005.

Jim concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, elder law and probate. He is licensed in Kansas and Missouri, with more than 30 years of experience. As a Certified Financial Planner, he approaches law with a thorough knowledge of investment and financial services.

Jared R Muir has developed a practice primarily centered in Landlord Tenant Law with an emphasis on evictions. Mr. Muir processes several evictions per month for multiple clients. His goal is to create a hassle free streamlined precess for his clients. He also focuses his practice on guardianships and conservatorships. He serves as conservator for several individuals as well as attorney-in-fact for several others. In this capacity he manages finances for those who are unable to do it themselves and for those who simply want someone else to manage the day to day finances.
