Jay grew up in Colorado and attended Pepperdine University in California where he obtained a degree in International Business in 2005 graduating cum laude. Jay earned his J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 2008, graduating with the Order of St. Ives academic recognition. While in law school he was a member and General Editor of the DU Law Review and was selected by his professor to tutor the first-year contracts class. After graduating law school in 2009 I worked in hospital liability defense until 2015 when I joined a plaintiff's personal injury firm. While working for the defense I gained experience that is helpful now that my practice is focused on helping individuals who have been injured seek just recovery. My practice now encompasses all aspects of plaintiff's personal injury work on medical malpractice, premises liability, and general negligence cases.
