Dan Donnelly is an experienced trial attorney with over 200 trials before both Judges and Juries. He has successfully defended individuals facing significant prison time for sexual assault, domestic violence, drug, and DWI related offenses. In Family Court he has successfully tried or negotiated favorable results regarding custody and property division for his clients. Mr. Donnelly and his experienced paralegal, Lucia Luna, have procured visas, green cards, and citizenship for individuals in the Austin area and beyond for over 12 years. Together they have an extensive knowledge of consular processing, especially Mexico.

I started my practice in Brainerd in 1975. In my early years I had a general practice with a focus on real estate and municipal law. As I gained a lot of courtroom experience I narrowed my focus to personal injury and workers compensation on the plaintiffs side. I became a certified trial specialist by the Minn. State Bar Assn. in 1995 and was selected as a leading Minn. Attorney by the American Research Corp. in 1997. In 2017 I was designated as one of the top 100 attorneys in Minnesota.

I was raised in Minnesota. My academic journey took me to St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in Winona, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in business, graduating cum laude. I furthered my education at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where I held the position of senior editor for the Law Journal and worked as a certified student attorney in the Elder Law Clinic. My legal practice is centered around family law, real estate, and estate planning.

Frederick A.
