A native of Massachusetts, Matthew grew up in Mashpee on Cape Cod. With Kelsey & Trask, P.C., Matthew practices primarily in the area of bankruptcy, and business and civil litigation, and also handles cases involving family law, personal injury, debt collection, and conflict resolution both through the courts and through settlement. Retired police officer after 23 years of service. Trained in many areas of concentration such as drug, crime scene, sexual assault and domestic violence investigations. I was trained by the FBI, Massachusetts State Police, Drug Enforcement Administration, and the NHTSA. One of my primary focuses was and continues to be drunk driving cases. As a police officer I attended advanced training in field sobriety testing. I apply all of my police training to my client's case.

I graduated with a degree in political science from Northeastern University in 1992 and attended law school at Suffolk University graduating in 1995. After law school I served as an Assistant District Attorney prosecuting cases throughout Worcester County. In 2003 I was appointed as an Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Worcester, where I focused on issues related to real estate, permitting and zoning.
