Janeane concentrates her law practice in the areas of family law and immigration law, for she is fiercely passionate about both. She counsels clients on various issues including Adoption, Child Custody, Child Support, Community Property Settlements Agreements, Divorces, Emancipations, Prenuptial Agreements, Spousal Support Agreements and Modifications and Tutorship issues.

I was born and raised in Opelousas and pursued my higher education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and an Honor’s Baccalaureate Degree. My undergraduate thesis was titled "Perceptions Versus Realities of Plea Bargaining." In 2011, I earned a Juris Doctor and Diploma in Civil Law from the Paul M. Hebert School of Law. During my time there, I was honored with a PILS Fellowship and an LSU LAW Scholarship. I was actively involved in the Legal Association of Women, Black Law Student Association, and Public Interest Law Society....
