William “Will” Abel is a civil litigator. Will has focused his career on developing a civil litigation practice with an emphasis on large commercial disputes, serious personal injury (plaintiff and defendant), and other complex civil matters. I was born and raised in Opelousas and pursued my higher education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and an Honor’s Baccalaureate Degree. My undergraduate thesis was titled "Perceptions Versus Realities of Plea Bargaining." In 2011, I earned a Juris Doctor and Diploma in Civil Law from the Paul M. Hebert School of Law. During my time there, I was honored with a PILS Fellowship and an LSU LAW Scholarship. I was actively involved in the Legal Association of Women, Black Law Student Association, and Public Interest Law Society....
