Ben grew up in Northern Kentucky and graduated from Covington Catholic High School in 1995. After graduating from Marian College in Indianapolis, Ben pursued a career in local government in Indiana working for Judge Gerald S. Zore and the City of Indianapolis. Ben obtained a law degree from New York Law School in 2004. While in law school, Ben worked at the New York Law School mediation clinic, the New York City Department of Buildings, and for Judge Budd G. Goodman. Jesse earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Louisville in 2009. During law school he was awarded a limited legal practice license and worked for the Louisville Commonwealth's Attorney office.

He began working for Robert Cooley in 2010 focusing primarily on personal injury and bankruptcy cases. Jesse's advanced knowledge of technology and computer systems helped grow the law practice quickly. Five years later the pair founded Cooley & Offill.

Cooley & Offill has grown to become a regional law firm with three offices in Louisville, Lexington, and Owensboro.
