Irubiel Ferrer was born in Winfield, IL and raised in West Chicago, IL. Irubiel received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology, Law, and Justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Irubiel then received his Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University College of Law.

Prior to attending law school, Irubiel worked as a paralegal in Chicago primarily in the areas of consumer bankruptcy and family law litigation.
