As a young adult, I returned to the United States, completed my undergraduate degree at Rice University in Houston, Texas, and earned my law degree from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. While in law school, I distinguished myself by serving on the editorial boards of the Journal of International Dispute Resolution and the Bankruptcy Developments Journal.
