I am in private practice with about 29 years experience, mostly in domestic, family court matters. My background is in West Virginia, and I am a Christian attorney who will not rip you off!

Before opening Harwood Legal, I served as a public defender, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, and judge all in the place I call home, Logan County WV. I am a hometown attorney and lifelong Southern WV resident who proudly represents and serves the people in my community. Stephanie E. Scales-Sherrin joined the firm in May of 2008. Ms. Scales-Sherrin graduated from the Charleston School of Law in Charleston, South Carolina, with a law degree in 2007. Ms. Scales-Sherrin also holds a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology from West Virginia University. She is admitted to practice in West Virginia and handles cases in family law, criminal defense and personal injury.

Cinda L. Scales is an attorney practicing in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. Ms. Scales was admitted to the practice of law in 1989. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law. In additional she has a Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Applied Psychology from Shippensburg University. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Shepherd University in Business Administration. She is admitted to practice law in West Virginia and Maryland. In addition to the practice of law, she is an associate professor of business administration at Shepherd University.

I grew up in the coal fields of West Virginia, and was a teacher for nine years before obtaining her law degree.
