Originally from Seattle, Wa., Ms. LaCoste attended Carnegie-Mellon University where she focused her studies on Political Science, International Relations and Chinese Language. During her undergraduate education, Ms. LaCoste studied abroad in Shanghai China, worked as a research assistant and teaching assistant for the international relations department of Carnegie-Mellon University, and worked in Washington D.C. as an opposing-party research intern.

I began working in family law during my time in law school and have been practicing in this area ever since. I am deeply passionate about advocating for and representing LGBTQ+ individuals and families, particularly transgender clients. My commitment to the LGBTQ+ community began in high school, and during law school, I had the opportunity to represent queer and transgender clients as a legal intern.
