Mary was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas before attending the University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate education. While there, Mary earned dual degrees in English and government, ultimately graduating summa cum laude. Mary returned to Lubbock in pursuit of a legal education and received her Juris Doctor degree from Texas Tech University School of Law. Kary has been practicing law, divorce and family law in particular, since 1998. Most of her career has been as a solo practitioner, so she has been able to work with clients one on one and personally oversee each and every case. Kary, in addition to being a zealous advocate for children and families in the court room, is an avid equestrian competitor competing in the sport of reining. Kary has officed in Weatherford, Texas since 2003, and currently practices out of The Law Offices of Kary L. Key.

Greg was a police officer and sergeant for over 20 years prior to going to law school, with assignments in patrol, investigations, training, and administration. He holds a master peace officer certificate from TCOLE and is a classroom and firearms instructor, in addition to being an SFST instructor and former intoxilizer operator.
