I am Attorney Kesney Nichols, and I assist the firm in managing cases and achieving favorable outcomes for our clients. My responsibilities encompass conducting legal research, drafting documents, interviewing clients and witnesses, preparing for hearings and trials, and aiding in the formulation of legal strategies aimed at resolving cases favorably for each client. I am dedicated to supporting clients through the most challenging periods of their lives and tirelessly advocating on their behalf. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy golfing and spending time with my rescue dogs, Nash and Ollie.

Mr. Fuqua, a native Houstonian, represents clients in matters relating to the drafting of wills, trusts, ancillary documents and related estate planning documents. He has experience in probate administration and litigation including but not limited to representing creditors in probate proceedings, representing applicants and contestants in guardianship proceedings, representing personal representatives, beneficiaries, and guardians in matters relating to the administration of estates and guardianships and related matters. I grew up in the small town of Hallettsville, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. Prior to law school I worked as a petroleum landman where I researched title to land for oil and gas companies. I continued to work as a landman during and after law school. My extensive knowledge in tracing mineral title and conducting genealogy research helped me make a natural transition into probate law and estate planning.

Katherine Boyd is a partner at Steed Barker Boyd. Katherine started her legal work as an oil and gas title and real property transactional attorney and has expanded her practice to include estate planning. She is passionate about helping her clients, understanding their needs, and creating an estate plan that works best for each situation with the knowledge that these are difficult and sensitive topics.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Bobby L Phillips had a career in the corrections industry that spanned over 27 years. Bobby served as deputy warden and/or Senior Warden at multiple state and private correctional facilities. Having returned to his southeast texas home of Livingston, he now practices law in the area and is dedicated to providing honest and affordable representation to his clients. Jennifer Amanoo focuses her practice on Trusts & Estates, bringing a background in both legal and fiduciary roles, including her previous experience as an AVP & Trust Officer and law clerk in estate planning. Terry W. Hammond is the former Executive Director of the National Guardianship Association, for which he also previously served as past president and served on the Board of Directors for a decade.
